This list started hypothetically. Well, now something has been shot down over Lake Huron.

The iconic weather ball in Downtown Flint has been providing simple forecasts since 1956.

The Flint Weather Ball is getting yet another facelift, so we decided to look at the rejected ideas for the new look of Flint's most recognizable landmark... again.

We've all heard by now that FirstMerit Bank, who purchased Citizen's Bank in April, plans the "CB" that appeared on the Flint Weather Ball with the letters "FM." After months of wondering when it would happen, we finally have the answer -- today.

The future of the Flint Weather Ball was up in the air after its owners, Citizens Bank, were acquired by FirstMerit Bank. See what changes are in store for Flint's most well-known (and, pretty much, only) landmark here.
