We’ll be doing the show live from Traverse City tomorrow, so we’ll be hitting the road after the show today. Hot Wings has been debating bringing the whole family along with him and is worried that he will get zero sleep tonight. Zane, of course, is 100% encouraging him to bring the whole gang along. Station Mayor Heinz’ email account must have been hacked. We’ve gotten about 1000 spam emails from him over the last couple of days. A Taco Bell was shut down and the hazmat team was called in because of a strange smell coming from a drink. Even after being closed for a few hours for hazmat inspection, there was still a line out the door and around the corner. That seemed like an indication that people may like fast food a bit too much.

We started the morning with our microphones sounding a bit off for the second day in a row. Nothing will be done about that. We’re broadcasting the show live from Traverse City, Michigan this weekend with Real Rock 105.1/95.5. We talked about whether or not afternoon guy Smitty would bring up more random conversation during the broadcast, like he did when we called in to his show a few weeks ago to promote the broadcast. We checked out a list of six household remedies from Real Simple magazine. We had gone over a few of these before and tried to guess whether or not they were real or not.

Free Beer played us the trailer for Saints Row: The Third this morning. The developers of the game have completely abandoned any sense of realism and you can now do damn near anything you want in the game. You can see the trailer in the Video Reel. A black college football player was kicked off of a flight for having saggy pants. A white guy in his mid 50′s was allowed to fly while wearing what is essentially lingerie. Both of the passengers were on US Airways flights, so they’re now feeling the pressure

Zane told us about the biggest news story of the last few days: the penguin who got lost and swam 2000 miles in the wrong direction and ended up in New Zealand. There’s lots of controversy now about whether he should be sent back to Antarctica or not. We had an update on the guy we talked about the other morning who robbed a bank because he could not afford the medical care he needed. It turns out he was eligible for free healthcare at a clinic just a few miles from his house! We were also updated on Ted Williams, the homeless man with the golden voice. He’s back in rehab and no one is surprised.
