It's the return of the franchise that kept me on board with Playstation when it came time to upgrade to a next-gen console . Metal Gear will thankfully continue in 2011 after retiring Solid Snake  in MGS4 (one of the best games I've ever played, right next to MGS3). When it comes to fighting games there are really only two names: Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. After several changes to gameplay, style, and content of the MK franchise, the series had become almost unrecognizable. In 2011, Mortal Kombat promises to return to it's fatally gory roots.

The competition is THICK for video games next year and I had an incredibly tough time whittling my list down to just 5 for you to watch in 2011. I knew the whole time that the MMO "DC Universe Online" was one of the games on the list for sure.
