In what may prove to be a jarring legal setback for artists who live next door to famous people and want to try and use that proximity as the basis for an unauthorized exhibit, Axl Rose has issued a cease-and-desist notice to the exhibitor behind the L.A. art show titled 'Axl Rose Was My Neighbor.'
Guns N’ Roses guitarist DJ Ashba has a new gig, and no, he’s not leaving GNR or Sixx: A.M., his other band. He’s been named the celebrity spokesman for BullyVille.com. It’s a cause close to his heart, as he endured a rough upbringing being bullied not by his peers but by his father. Ashba, 39, became involved in this initiative since he lives next door to the site’s founder in Las Vegas and he appreciates the fact that it creates almost a safe haven and offers a supportive resource for kids, something he did not have growing up.
Axl Rose‘s ongoing quest to wrest a $20 million judgment from video game makers Activision was dealt a setback yesterday (August 14), when a judge indicated Rose’s allegations of fraud would be dismissed — but he allowed another claim in the suit to stand, leaving the legal battle open for another round.
