Normal dogs and cats are one thing, but this is crazy. These people decided that having a Lynx would be a good idea. Does that animal look happy about smelling your pot roast and watching reruns? No, it looks miserable and sounds like it wants to kill you. My rule of thumb for pets in life is, if it terrifies me, I don't want it.
