Mark Tremonti will kick off 2013 in much the same way he ended 2012 -- fronting his "solo" band. Wolfgang Van Halen was definitely thrown into the fire, being called upon to play bass for Tremonti a day before the band's first show of their fall tour, but it looks like things are working out so well that his involvement will continue beyond their current trek.

Mark Tremonti of Creed and Alter Bridge fame is hitting the Machine Shop in Flint on Sept. 20, bringing tracks from his debut solo release, ‘All I Was.’ Tremonti, of course, is a sick guitar player, so it should be awesome to see him shred it up in an intimate venue like the Machine Shop.
