Movie Preview 2012

It wasn't very tough to decide which film we're looking forward to the most in 2012 -- how could it be anything other than Christopher Nolan's final installment in the Batman franchise 'The Dark Kinght Rises.'

2012 will see the arrival of Quentin Tarantino's next film, which he describes as a spaghetti western set in the deep south or a "southern". 'Django Unchained' is the story of a slave turned bounty hunter (Jamie Foxx) who sets out to free his wife from a sadistic plantation owner who is played by Leonardo DiCaprio.

If 2012 does bring about the apocalypse, at least we'll be able to see the ultimate action film before we go. After a action-star studded first outing, the Sylvester Stallone led 'The Expendables 2' ups the ante with the addition of Chuck Norris, Jean-Claude Van Damme, and expanded roles for Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

There are plenty of stink-bombs coming to theaters in 2012. Despite all the sequel/prequel/3D re-release B.S. headed our way, there will be some truly original films like the historically inaccurate (yet extremely awesome) 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.'

Never before has there been a superhero movie with this big of a build to it's release. It may have taken five separate films to set up, but 'The Avengers' is a lock to become of the biggest blockbusters of all time when it hits theaters in May 2012.

Beginning our countdown of kick-ass films headed our way in 2012 is a film that's kind of a wild card. While it may start with a typical premise -- 'The Cabin in the Woods' looks to be nothing like your average slasher flick.

While preparing to do our annual preview of the best movies coming to theaters in 2012, we found that an unusually high amount of turds were on their way as well. Here's a look at some movies you'll want to steer clear of in the new year....
