The Week In Sports Recap 4/23/12
I love watching sports, because you can feel the glory of winning, with no effort what so ever. Check out what's happening in the world of men getting paid millions of dollars to play a game.

April is one of the better months in sports, considering that we are looking at NHL and NBA playoffs, the start of the baseball season, and a tradition unlike any other, The Masters. Check out my thoughts on what's going on around the sporting world.
I feel like I'm one of the few people who are still watching the Pistons. The Palace looks like a Scooby Doo ghost town during the games and they are so desperate for ticket sales, they'll let you sit on the bench with the players just to get you in the place.
So over in Taiwan, Next Media Animation produces videos explaining American news using Sims like characters and they are hilarious. The newest video features an explanation of the NBA lock out and features the Pistons logo, hemorrhaging and dying in front of David Stern.
Dennis Rodman is being inducted to the Basketball Hall Of Fame tonight, so I thought it was only appropriate to give some props to the Worm, who was a big part of the Pistons championship runs back in the late 80's/early 90's.
Some big plays over the weekend! Just wait til you see the Pistons on the highlight reel...........oh that's right! They didn't even make the playoffs! At least we still have the Red Wings!
Make no mistake about it, I'm a huge Blake Griffin fan. He's an awesome basketball player and really fun to watch. He was the favorite in the Slam Dunk contest this past weekend at the NBA All Star game, so nobody was surprised when he won. But a lot of people were disappointed with the dunk that won. Check out the video.
If you watch college basketball, you've seen the national sensation out of BYU, Jimmer Fredette. Dude had been lighting it up and is averaging over 30 points per game this season. Check out his recent highlights and be a believer.
No I'm not talking about Lamar Odom having sex with his wife, Fatty Kardashian. I'm talking about the insane shot he made against the Utah Jazz. Check it out inside.
Well sorry Pistons fans, but it seems the 3 team trade involving Detroit, New Jersey and Denver has been officially called off. Check out what's going on inside.
Holy Eff, Blake Griffin can ball. This dude is a superstar, and it's only his first year playing pro ball. It's just too bad he plays for the Clippers and was a rookie last year.
I know it kind of sounds like a nightmare, or at least a bad joke, but for 75 youths in the Boston area, it sounds like Christmas. A long time supporter of The Boys and Girls Club, Shaq promises to hook these kids up with a Christmas to remember.
