So it appears Blackhawks fans are crying that the referees were looking for a make up call after Johan Franzen was hit from behind. So when did this mythical "make-up" come? Well supposedly it came in the 3rd period when the Andrew Shaw goal was waived off. Really? you sure it wasn't waived off because he was interfering with Jimmy Howard? NHL Cancels Preseason; Regular Season Now Seriously in Doubt

Just seven years removed from the cancelled 2004-05 season, the NHL is moving perilously close to another major work stoppage. The regular season is still scheduled to begin October 11, just two weeks away, but the owners, who locked the players out earlier this month, have now decided to fully cancel the preseason.

This does not bode well if you're a hockey fan.
