Nintendo 64

It was on this day in 1997 that Rare released GoldenEye 007 exclusively for the N64 and opened the discussion on both the market of console shooters and the more “realistic” approach that would culminate in numerous hit franchises later on.

The Nintendo 64 was badass. I have many fond memories of getting all hopped up on Surge and sniping fools in 'Goldeneye 007.' Someone else must have fond memories of the system as well, because he custom-made a fully functional handheld N64!
