At one point in this video from MSNBC, you can see one of the dogs climbing on top of a car to get one of the kids.

Chicago resident, Bill Lesinski, 47 had his nose bitten off last Friday by his neighbors Pit Bull. Lesinski is an owner of a Pit Bull himself and although his injuries are extensive, he does not blame the dog that bit him according to the Huffington Post.
