Guns N' Roses singer Axl Rose is certainly one of the most beloved, but also detested musicians in rock history. It's almost impossible to run into anyone who doesn't have an opinion on Rose as a human being, but the GN'R icon recently partook in an interview that went pretty deep into the mind of one of rock's most polarizing figures.
Slash might be branching out into film production, but he's still a rocker at heart -- so it only makes sense that 'Nothing to Fear,' the debut release from his Slasher Films banner, will feature a Slash score.
Slash is once again delving into the animated world, but this time with a more sinister turn in the video for 'Bad Rain.' The guitar great and his animated counterparts turn up as the house band at a strip club that holds a dark secret.
Today marks a day of reflection for many as we remember the tragic 9/11 attacks in New York, Washington, D.C. and Shanksville, Pa. Amidst terrorism, there were also great acts of heroism with many sacrificing their lives to protect others.
Earlier this year, Slash talked about how his mother started working as a costume designer for rock legend David Bowie after she split from his father and things took a romantic turn after a period of time. Now the guitar great is offering a few more details on his encounters with the “Thin White Duke” as a youth.
Slash knows something good when he sees it, and the guitarist doesn’t plan to change things up again with his lineup. Slash put together a band after recording his debut solo effort with a number of guest singers, and that band carried over into his second set, ‘Apocalyptic Love.’
Slash has moved on with his career, as have many of his former Guns N’ Roses bandmates. Even Guns N’ Roses have moved on, with Axl Rose fronting the group that features a completely different lineup. But still, there are always questions about if a reunion of the original band will ever take place.
Slash has seen and been through a lot in the music industry, and one thing that he’s learned over the years is to follow his own path. The guitarist knows the highs experienced early in his career and he says that he’s decided not to let expectations from the past get the better of him.
