Godsmack's Sully Erna showed another side of his musical abilities with the 'Avalon' solo album, and now he's offering fans an expanded version of the release with the upcoming limited-edition 'Avalon' box set.
After announcing his participation in the San Antonio Rock 'n' Roll marathon a couple of months ago, Godsmack frontman Sully Erna has been forced to pull out of the Nov. 11 race as the result of an unspecified injury.
Godsmack singer Sully Erna is extending the life of his 'Avalon' solo album with a limited edition box set. Only 5,000 copies of the collection will be sold, and Erna had done his best to pack the box sets full of material that will bolster its value for those who purchase it.
Godsmack are currently on tour with the traveling Uproar Festival with Shinedown, Staind, Papa Roach and many more. During the Aug. 31 date in Pittsburgh, Pa., a shirtless fan jumped onstage during Godsmack's set, and after running around a bit, placed a hat atop the head of frontman Sully Erna. Multiple security guards tackled the fan with the intensity of an NFL linebacker, which prompted Erna to stop midway through a song and give the guards a piece of his mind.
We recently reported that Godsmack nixed of a few European dates due to frontman Sully Erna’s unidentified vocal troubles, but now the band has canceled the rest of the scheduled shows on their European trek.
Shortly before the release of his ‘Avalon Live’ box set, Godsmack frontman Sully Erna will take his solo act on the road for a series of east coast shows starting this March.
Details have been revealed for Godsmack frontman Sully Erna‘s upcoming live DVD, which features Erna performing songs from his debut solo effort ‘Avalon’ and will be part of a box set loaded with extras like a documentary, posters, incense and more.
Godsmack have a couple of projects in the works for 2012, one of which is an EP where the band covers songs that inspired them over the years. According to frontman Sully Erna, we may hear the new covers very soon.
