Japanese import company Bluefin has announced a line of high-end statues based on Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice from Iron Studios, and a Batman statue based on his appearance in the Arkham Knight video game, as part of its new deal as the exclusive North American distributor for the Brazilian collectibles studio.

If there’s one thing we’ve learned from our years on the Internet, it’s that there’s no aspect of comics that can’t be broken down and quantified in a single definitive list, preferably in amounts of five or ten. And since there’s no more definitive authority than ComicsAlliance, we’re taking it upon ourselves to compile Top Five lists of everything you could ever want to know about comics. This week we’re looking at five of the worst Superman rip-offs! Superheroes are a dime a dozen, but there’s only one Superman… basically. Superman is the best. Just the absolute best. So, of course, everybody is going to try to bootleg his style, even DC! Everyone has tried. And tried. And tried. And tried. Some have done a better job than others. Some have started out awful, but become great. Today we’re going to look at five of the worst!

Though he is still best known for his debut story in which he and Superman "killed" each other, we will take you through Doomsday's history, starting with his origin as a repeatedly murdered baby all the way to his fate as a mind-controlling purple dust in Superman's lungs, with all the twists and turns along the way.

Here we were, counting down to the first real Legends of Tomorrow teases by the upcoming Arrow and Flash crossover, when The CW does two better. Not only do we know for sure when Legends will premiere in January 2016, but the latest DC heroes kick asses all over time and space with our first full trailer!

"Let's just kill him." That was Jerry Ordway's solution to the problem that the creative teams behind Superman were facing in the early '90s. After building for years to a wedding between Lois Lane and Clark Kent --- something that had been brewing in comics since 1938 --- plans were put on hold so that the storyline could coincide with the upcoming wedding on TV's Lois and Clark. The idea was that timing the two versions of the wedding to run at the same time would lead the show's audience into comic book stores and boost sales, but it left the comics with a year of space to fill, and finding something that would take up time and keep readers interested while the TV storyline caught up proved to be difficult. It was so frustrating, in fact, that Ordway's solution ended up being the best idea, and on this day in 1992, DC published 'The Death Of Superman'.

Following the Batman vs. Superman info dump that came out of Comic-Con, we thought it might be a while before we saw or heard anything from the upcoming superhero movie. After all, we did get an extended new trailer, new images and a new poster. But today, we have three new Batman vs. Superman pics each showing off one of the film’s three main characters: Batman, Superman and Lex Luthor.

Current Superman and Man of Steel star Henry Cavill was officially cast in the role in January of 2011. But, seven years earlier Cavill was also cast as Kal-El in a different Superman project. That film, which was written by J.J. Abrams and would've been directed by McG, was eventually canceled and Cavill never shot a frame of Superman. Until many years later when he was called back for a new Superman reboot and given the job. This is just one of the facts packed into the latest episode of You Think You Know Movies, which follows the last son of Krypton in Man of Steel!
