July 27, 2011 Back in December I put together a list of the five movies I was most excited for this year, the upcoming prequel to John Carpenter's ass kicking 1982 alien flick could be the coolest horror film of the year. The Thing (2011) is set to hit theaters in October and we have the trailer, but can the movie be as good without John Carpenter, Kurt Russell, or Quaker Oats/Diabeetus guy Wilford Brimley?
