Sunday’s penultimate Walking Dead Season 6 installment may have ended on a frustrating cliffhanger, but next weeks’ finale may tear fandom asunder. We have our first clip of the Season 6 closer as well, in which Morgan makes a new friend, but could be facing his “Last Day on Earth.”

Six years in, there’s only so much variation The Walking Dead can do with its titular threat beyond additional decay. And since Daryl Dixon clearly isn’t thrilled with change, Jimmy Kimmel saw only one option: Put The Walking Dead on hoverboards, of course!

The fine folk behind Honest Trailers have already taken aim at The Walking Dead once before, but if AMC plans to keep the horror-smash running indefinitely, why shouldn’t its parodies? Saddle up for another zombie evisceration, as Seasons 4 through 6 get the Honest treatment for destroying even more sanctuaries, aging CORAL five years, and insisting on Talking Dead.

It's no secret that white male leads have dominated comic books since --- well forever. In the '60s, Marvel and DC finally started to put a change to that with the addition of super-powered people of color, which led to some of today's biggest names in comics. But it still wasn't enough. Eventually the lack of diversity led to the onset of Milestone Media in the '90s, where Dwayne McDuffie, Denys Cowan, Michael Davis, and Derek T. Dingle crafted several intriguing characters. With an increasingly active black nerd, or blerd, community, new black characters are being created every day --- primarily through independent publishers, though Marvel has also kickstarted a focus on one of its most notable black characters --- but more on that later. To celebrate Black History Month, ComicsAlliance is running down our list of 20 Great Black Comic Book Characters. Our list considers old staples as well as some new favorites, including a certain katana wielding badass, space explorers and of course, plenty of superheroes.

We’re only halfway through The Walking Dead Season 6, but has Season 7 already begun casting for its fall 2016 debut? Justified and Friday Night Lights star Alicia Witt joins in a new mystery role, as the AMC horror-smash releases a new preview for the back half of Season 6, teasing “the most formidable and terrifying threat” yet.

However much the first half of The Walking Dead Season 6 spent jumping around time and perspective, few would argue that our beloved Daryl got the short end of the stick, leading only a solitary episode, and losing his iconic motorcycle and crossbow in the process. Our long national nightmare has ended, however, as the back eight will feature much more Norman Reedus, even “a little Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” action with Rick.

The Walking Dead hasn’t traded in too many cliffhangers the likes of 2015 closer “Start to Finish,” creating the expectation blood and viscera will fly within moments of 2016 premiere “No Way Out.” We may have at least one confirmed survivor in the newest photos, while Daryl, Sasha and Abraham continue to stare down their new friends.

Just when you thought the back half of The Walking Dead Season 6 would bring enough zombies our way, Fear will strike again in April. AMC has officially set a Season 2 premiere for the prequel zombie thriller, splitting its extended episode order, and granting its own Talking Dead to boot. Technically … Fear the Talking Dead?

As The Walking Dead gears up for the back half of its sixth season and some major comic milestones, with years of issues untapped for source material, there isn’t much consideration of an end in sight. That said, AMC’s longest series only lasted seven seasons, so how long do network bosses really see it going? Might Fear, or another spinoff ever take the reigns?

The Walking Dead has had it tougher and tougher to keep spoilers under wraps, between one death fake-out immediately undercut by set photos, and character descriptions barely concealing their comic counterparts. So too has Xander Berkeley’s mysterious Season 6 villain been unveiled, as exactly the figure comic readers assumed.

We’ve had a few weeks to put the missteps of The Walking Dead Season 6 behind us, especially as midseason finale “Start to Finish” left us in the lurch of a bloody cliffhanger. Now, the first footage of February’s 2016 premiere has arrived in a new trailer, and things aren’t looking good for anyone, in or out of Alexandria.
