Never fear, fans of ‘The Big Bang Theory‘ anxiously awaiting the show’s sixth season. A little applied physics never hurt anybody, at least seriously enough to delay taping. Well, actually applied physics could kill any number of people based on its principles alone, but not today! Despite a (reportedly) gruesome car crash, actress Mayim Bialik will live to hold Sheldon Cooper’s hand once more. But did she leave a piece of herself behind?

Despite some overzealous reporting from TMZ, ‘The Big Bang Theory’ actress and former ‘Blossom’ star Mayim Bialik was not seriously injured by a recent car accident, and won’t even delay filming on ‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 6. TMZ initially reported from the Hollywood scene that there were “tons and tons of blood everywhere,” and that the actress might lose a finger from the ordeal.

Thankfully, that turned out not to be the case, as Bialik took to her Twitter to clear up that she was “in pain,” but “will keep all my fingers.” In fact, the actress is expected to make it to rehearsal today, keeping shooting for ‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 6 firmly on track.

The accident took place yesterday afternoon on the corner of Hollywood Blvd. and La Brea, while Bialik was traveling alone in a white Volvo which was struck in the intersection by another vehicle filled with Chilean tourists. Emergency responders quickly arrived on the scene, and no other major injuries were reported.

Phew! Relief for fans of Bialik and ‘The Big Bang Theory’ alike. It remains to be seen if the 36-year-old actress’ even minor injuries will be visible on the show, but everything seems to have turned out fine.
