With the NFL scouting combine about to come to a close there are lots of names in the mix looking to raise their stock. Tyrann Mathieu a.k.a”The Honey Badger” is no exception. With a disappointing showing Monday on the bench press Mathieu came in and surprised scouts by running a solid 4.50, 40 yard dash and while the rest of his numbers along with his foot work look good one area were “The Honey Badger” has never lacked is in the confidence department.

In a recent interview with Deion Sanders from the NFL Network Sanders asked Mathieu if he was big enough to play in an elite league like the NFL. Mathieu’s response was quite shocking not just by what he said, but rather, the name he invoked in his response, without any hesitation as to the name he was dropping.

“I feel like if I was to check somebody like a Calvin Johnson, he’ll make his plays, but I’m definitely going to get mine, too,” Mathieu said. “He’s going to catch his five balls, but I’m going to get my two turnovers, so we’ll be even.”

Did He really just say he could hang with Megatron? Ha!, right. I think someone needs to slow their role. You got to get drafted, play a few snaps, and show how great you really are before you make a statement that your going to show the man who broke Jerry Rice’s single season receiving record how it's done.

Besides the fact that Mathieau is 5' 10" and Megatron 6' 5" what makes this statement even more ridiculous is when Mathieau decided to take this statement to twitter. Check out “The Honey Badger’s" tweet.
