The Reason Why Flint and Other Districts Start School Before Labor Day [VIDEO]

I didn't even realize it but some kids in the Flint area already went back to school on Monday and some say goodbye to summer next week.

I used to think kids really needed those three months off but honestly I think going the full year and just having shorter breaks every 7-8 weeks is definitely the way to go. I mean my son is off all summer but really just sits on his butt because I work everyday and so does his mother. I would rather he be at school interacting with other kids and getting an education. Then with his time off, I could plan my vacation and life would be so much better.

I really hope Grand Blanc joins the other districts in this year-round plan.
