When you say 'The Rock' to someone in Flint, most likely they know you are talking about the painted rock at Hammerberg and 12th Street, if they think some other kind of 'rock' - go wide. The landmark rock that has been covered with happy birthday messages and memorials is beginning to peel.

Some folks are even stopping to pick up pieces of the falling paint. I think that is actually kind of cool. I wanted to paint 'Happy 40th Tony LaBrie', this past January. That plan did not work out. Chris Monroe was supposed to help me, but he was too busy having his own face painted. Have you ever painted a message on the rock?
