'The Walking Dead' might have started out slow last year, but it's final six or seven episodes were so thrilling that all was forgiven. Now, the best show on television is heading for its longest season yet (16 episodes) and if the 4-minute trailer that recently premiered at Comic-Con is any indication, it will also be the most exciting.

Fans of the comic book will notice that the show is starting to resemble its source material more this season. A few key characters from the comics will be introduced this year, including the Governor (David Morissey) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) -- also known as the samurai sword wielding badass who saved Andrea's ass at the end of last season. The trailer also teases the return of at least one character who's been M.I.A. for a while, which should make for some definite fireworks this season.

The 4-minute trailer shows the gang heading for the "safety" of the nearby prison, while Andrea and Michonne meet up with The Governor and his crew. Looks like the living might provide more trouble than the undead for Rick Grimes and company when 'The Walking Dead' returns to AMC October 14th. We've never wanted the summer to end this fast before.
