Ticks are so freaking nasty and unfortunately these little suckers are really starting to make their mark in Michigan.

Not only can they get on our pets but they can end up on us as well, all while carry some nasty diseases.

According to ABC12, in the month of April, we saw more than we saw all of last year.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services says if people are going to spend time in the woods, they should use an insect repellent with a high DEET content. I need to keep this in mind because I have a camping trip coming up in June.

Apparently the west side of the state and the Upper Peninsula are seeing the highest rise in ticks.

Always keep in mind that you never want to touch a tick if it gets on you, you always want to remove them with tweezers.
