Tiger Attacks Trainer In Florida [VIDEO]

I hate to see anyone harmed (well except for one particular ex), but I have to say the way these trainers are hitting the tiger in this video - I can see why the animal would retaliate. 

What the video does not show is the trainer falling, that is what causes the Bangel tiger to become 'playful'. David Donnert, the fiance of the injured trainer in the video said this was not an attack at all, simply just an accident. Nonetheless, am I the only one that thinks the tiger was being hit too hard?
