The regular season has ended for the 2018 Detroit Tigers. Unfortunately, no playoffs again for the Tigers so let's look forward to the 2019 season.

With first-year manager Ron Gardenhire at the helm, and a very young team and aging veteran players, Tigers fans are looking towards the future with a bunch of younger players for this team to get back into the playoff in which the Tigers have not been in the postseason since 2014.

In the past, the Tigers have loaded up on big contracts and veteran players for the win now mentality. Now with some of those big name players gone and the veteran players getting older or retiring (Victor Martinez), the ones who were on the field this year for the Old English D are very young and many of them with no major league experience or very little playing time at that level. I hope the Tigers can turn it around sooner than later.

With a record of 64-98 it was a tough season as a Tigers fan but with a coach that has shown in the past that the young talent that is given to him does pan out the only thing we can do is cross our fingers and look towards the future.
