The New Jersey prog quintet Toothgrinder have made major strides quickly, having released albums in back to back years with the latest being 2017's Phantom Amour. They've teamed with Loudwire to debut a music video for "Vagabond," translating their cinematic sound over to film.

Toothgrinder's sound uses elements from across the musical spectrum including shoegaze, jazz, sludge, rock and more, to often jarring effect, moving from an ethereal trance to an arena stomp. The video, which centers around a shady couple who operate outside the law and do their best to keep Big Blue out of matters, exploits this dynamic and effectively marries scenes with moods present in "Vagabond."

"’Vagabond’ is about vices and crutches. Being lost and then found," states the band. "The video follows the journey of a decision or an idea that takes form and eventually meets its inevitable end. Checkmate."

Toothgrinder are currently on the road supporting Bullet for My Valentine and Trivium. The U.S. run comes to an end on May 19 at the Rock on the Range festival and you can check out all of the remaining stops here.
