If you are a golfer in Michigan, you know the awful feeling when winter sets in and your golfing for the year is over. Now, thanks to Topgolf, your game can go on all year.

For those of you that don't know, Topgolf stands for "Target Oriented Practice Golf." The new 65,000 sq. ft. facility will be located on Joslyn Road near I-75, not too far from Great Lakes Crossing.

Each player receives a golf ball with a microchip in it. After each shot, the scores and such are calculated and sent to the screens. There are 11 targets that range in distance from 20 to 240 yards away.

The facility itself will have 3,000 sq. ft. in private space for events, along with 102 hitting bays. Each bay can also accommodate up to six players. On top of that, Topgolf Auburn Hills will have food, drinks, 270 TV's, and more.

With this schedule to be open sometime this year, you can expect to see me in Auburn Hills quite a bit when winter hits.
