An accident between two LakeVille students early Thursday morning ended tragically as both of them were pronounced dead.

WNEM reports that An 18-year-old man from Otisville, and a 17-year old woman from Mt. Morris were killed when their vehicle collided with another on Wilson road near Henderson.

A third student in the car was injured and is being treated at the hospital. The other driver is a 46 year old female who is also being treated for serious injuries.

Friends and family have taken to local message boards to talk about how dangerous that stretch of road is, and discuss weather or not the kids should have been going to school.

While these are all very serious questions, right now we think the thoughts should be focused on the families dealing with their loss.  The LakeVille superintending issued the following statement.

"Our prayers are with the families and with the entire school community who has suffered a tragic loss today. Grief counselors and local pastors and neighboring districts are also sending grief counselors and support staff."

A moment of silence was held during the girls basketball game on Thursday night to remember the victims.

ABC12 talked to some of the witnesses of the accident that morning.
