You've seen it in video games and porn, soon you can experience it in a theater that doesn't have sticky seats. 'Hardcore' puts you behind the eyes of an action hero for what looks like a real life 'Call of Duty.'

It's the film that you'll get to hear all your friends with motion sickness bitch about for the next decade. Seriously, get over yourself. We're all tired of hearing about how sick you got watching 'Cloverfield.' Some of us enjoyed it and would like to talk about it occasionally without you going full-on Debbie Downer on us.

Anyway, back to the movie. Parts of the trailer are reminiscent of memorable Metal Gear Solid cutscenes, which scores major points with this nerd. The film recently debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival, and the reviews thus far have been pretty good.

Good action films used to be commonplace back in the 80s and early 90s, these days they are few and far between. For every 'John Wick' that comes out, there are a dozen lackluster 'Transporter' reboots and straight-to-video actioners starring the most recent WWE retiree. 'Hardcore' might be just the shot of adrenaline the genre needs.
