Boozing it hardcore til 6 A.M. was not unusual territory for the notorious hard-partying metal band Pantera. Songs recorded after those late night binge drinking runs, however, are much more rare. Check out this ultra-rare track called 'Dawn of the Horrible Gorilla' featuring Pantera guitarist Dimebag Darrell, vocalist Phil Anselmo, and White Zombie bassist Sean Yseult.

Legend has it that in the year Nineteen Hundred and Ninety Two (1992), American Heavy Metal bands Pantera and White Zombie roamed the land playing for large audiences all across our fair country. One night during that tour, members of both bands hit the town for a bender that ended around 6 in the morning. Afterword, Phil Anselmo, Dimebag Darrell, and Sean Yseult ended up in Dime's hotel room recording an improvised jam called 'Dawn of the Horrible Gorilla'. This unusual creation features Dimebag on guitar and drum machine, Anselmo on vocals, and Yseult on bass.
