In his third tour of Afghanistan, Sgt. Travis Mills was critically injured by an IED, losing parts of all four limbs, making him just the fourth surviving quadruple amputee in U.S. Military history.  The 25-year-old husband and father is a native of Vassar, and according to family and friends, Mills is the epitome of high character.  His wife, Kelsey, has been updating his support site, TravisMills.org and reports that Travis has faced his injuries with the same bravery, optimism, and unbreakable spirit that he has exhibited through out his life.

The Mills family has received support from across the nation, but the journey this family faces has only begun.  Donations can be made to the Mills family directly at TravisMills.org and there other numerous other fundraisers to help the Mills family.
