I admit that I love a good, heartfelt rock ballad, and it's even better when that track is stripped down to bring out the emotion. For that reason, the Red Hot Chili Peppers' 1991 ballad 'Under the Bridge' has been in my head for weeks. Get nostalgic with me by watching the video below.

‘Under the Bridge’ is really the song that changed the Peppers' trajectory. The soulful tune showed a softer side of the popular funk-rock band, all while paying homage to the city of Los Angeles. It helped the Peppers earn mainstream acclaim and topped out at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.
