Make no mistake about it, a triple is the hardest hit to come by.  Every game in Major League Baseball averages 2.2 homeruns and .4 triples.  So the fact that Brendan Ryan of the Seattle Mariners hit an in the infield triple is insane.

 

I'm sure stuff like this happens in Little League all the time, but the fact that professional athletes allowed this to happen blows my mind.  Detroit Tiger Ty Cobb is still one of the all time leaders in 3 baggers, but honestly, I think they were a lot easier to come by back in those days.  You've gotta give Brendan Ryan credit due to being so heads up about it, but the Oakland A's should be ashamed of themselves.
