Video Shows Mailman Being Attacked By Dog in Detroit [GRAPHIC VIDEO]

Earlier today (Friday) a mailman in Detroit was viciously attacked by a dog while delivering mail.

The video below shows the man being attacked while desperately trying to get away. The man is unsuccessful in getting away even after multiple people try to intervene. No matter what they did the dog would not let go of the mailman go until another man hit the dog with what looked like a hammer.

Finally, the dog released the mailman but was still being very aggressive. After a few moments, the dog wobbles a bit and sits on the road for a few seconds before running after an elderly woman. At that point, it's unclear what happened next but I think she managed to get away.

According to WDIV, the dog managed to bite through the mail carrier's shoes. EMS transported the victim to a hospital.

This video is difficult to watch at times. I was stressed right out until the very end.
