Sometimes there's a soft and gooey center to the hard shell of metal as Danny Worsnop proved when he proposed to his girlfriend mid-set of an Asking Alexandria concert. The frontman posted the moment when he got down on one knee and asked Victoria Potter to marry him to his official Instagram feed last night (August 5) in a video clip and series of pictures which can be viewed below.

"Yesterday I took a little detour in our show to do something that’s been on my mind for a long time now," Worsnop wrote in the post. "This woman has carried me through so much. She taught me to open up, to let love in, to be vulnerable, and to be true to myself. She has loved me through my crazy and my quiet, when I’m the hardest to love. She holds me when I break, and pushes me when I don’t think I’m enough. Because of her I wake up every day a better man than I was the day before. She will never know just how special she is to me, or just how much love I have for her ... but that isn’t going to stop me from doing everything I can to show her for the rest of our lives. She is my angel and I’m never letting go. I am the luckiest and happiest man in the world."

Worsnop then revealed the name of the song playing during the moment - which happened at EST FEST in Cleveland, Ohio, just before he darts to the side of the stage to propose. He says it's called "Angels" and promises it will be "coming out very soon along with the rest of this video."

Asking Alexandria are currently on the road in support of the group's self-titled album, which was released in late 2017. Having spent a good part of 2018 touring the U.S., the band is taking a break for the next several weeks before heading out on tour with Godsmack and Shinedown this fall.
