According to Wikipedia, South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney's hit on U of M's Vincent Smith in the Outback Bowl was so massive it destroyed the entire state of Michigan, leaving the country with just 49 states.

Wikipedia is probably America's most used source for information on just about anything. Hell, we use it all the time. The only problem is that the info on Wikipedia is populated by regular people and, therefore, not always true. One time we tried to enter some fake info in the website and it didn't work, but apparently someone got their number following the Outback Bowl earlier this week.

Even if you're not a fan of college football, you likely saw a clip (see above) of the devastating hit that South Carolina's Jadeveon Clowney delivered in the 4th quarter of their bowl game appearance against Michigan. Wikipedia claims that you not only heard about it, but felt it. Here's the quote from Clowney's Wiki Page:

"In the Outback Bowl, Clowney obliterated the entire state of Michigan when he hit Wolverines' running back Vincent Smith and forced a fumble. There are now only 49 states in the United States and Roger Goodell has suspended Clowney for the first game of his NFL career."

The excerpt was eventually removed, but not before the internets noticed. You can see a screengrab of the image below...that is, if you weren't destroyed along with the rest of the state.
