Winning $500K Michigan Lottery Ticket Sold In Fenton

A Genesee County woman won $500K playing the Michigan Lottery.

The winning ticket was purchased at the BP gas station on Thompson Road in Fenton.

According to the Michigan Lottery, the 59-year-old winner scratched the 50X Wild Time instant ticket, after having her Tarot cards read.

During my Tarot reading, I was told money would be coming into my life very soon. I tried to think of ways this might happen, but I didn’t even think about the Lottery tickets in my purse.

 

Later that night I scratched the tickets. I saw the star symbol and thought: ‘Well at least I won my money back’ assuming it would be a $10 win. Much to my surprise, I revealed a prize of $500,000! I tried to remain calm, but I knew right then and there this had just changed my life.

The lucky woman who wishes to remain anonymous, now has plans to take a cruise, pay off her vehicle, and invest the rest of her winnings.

Michigan residents seem to be very lucky when it comes to playing the lottery lately.

Just last week we told you about Dina Russell of Flushing, who recently won $25K a year for life playing Michigan Lottery's Lucky for Life. Russell opted for a one-time lump sum payout of $390,000.

To date, no one has claimed the winning Michigan Lottery Powerball ticket worth $842.4 million. The ticket was purchased at Food Castle at 3035 East Grand Blanc Road in Grand Blanc.

Can you imagine if the winner lost the ticket?
