Woman Dies Attempting To Steal Clothes From Donation Box

A Staten Island woman suffocated while attempting to steal clothes from a donation box.

According to The New York Daily News reports 51 year old Melissa Mazzeo was throwing clothes out  from inside the bin and when she attempted to get out, her head got lodged somehow and she suffocated.

Walter Bray, a witness who called 911 said, quote:

"I saw the lady hanging there".  Apparently the door had closed on her neck.  This was not Mazzeo's first time attempting to steal. She was facing misdemeanor charges for stolen property at the time of her death.
