Early this morning a woman with mental illness led police on a high speed chase through Genesee County.

According to WNEM, at 5:40 a.m. police were called to the Holiday Inn in Birch Run because a woman was blasting some music loudly in her car.

When the cops went up to her car, she put it in drive and took off almost hitting officers. They chased her through Genesee County to the point that she was only driving on rims.

This lady was not going to give up without a fight. As a matter of fact, she resisted arrest and had to be tazed.

The 47 year-old was finally taken down at intersection of N. Saginaw Road and Dodge Road near Mt. Morris.

Usually with a case like this, drugs and alcohol are a big factor but apparently she was sober. Like I said earlier, she has a history of mental illness.
