This completely unneccesary reunion has been rumored for the last month or two and was initially shot down by Vinnie Paul...now it looks like it may actually happen. If you ask me; No Dime, NO PANTERA!!!!.

After the initial rumors came about that Pantera may do some sort of reunion it was quickly shot down by (Pantera drummer and brother of the band's deceased guitarist Dimebag Darrell) Vinnie Paul. He stated:

"It's ridiculous. Dime was such a huge part of it; it would be just completely asinine to even consider that. I think it's pretty disrespectful from people to even suggest it."

To tell the truth I agree completely, Dimebag was the heart of that band and without him there is no Pantera. Since then there has been a facebook movement started by fans calling for a one-off reunion show with Dime's good friend Zakk Wylde on guitar. If anybody fills in it would have to be Zakk but I would rather it doesn't happen at all. The cause has just over 2,000 supporters and a source close to Vinnie Paul's camp told The Metal Den that if it does happen, it will be for only one show. I imagine it will take much more than 2,000 people to change Vinnie's strong feelings on the issue but if you want to join the effort, click here.
