WWE Superstar Roman Reigns Announces He Has Leukemia

Last night on WWE Monday Night Raw, Universal Champion Roman Reigns, announced he will be stepping away from the ring for a second bout with Leukemia.

WWE Monday Night Raw opened last night with a sad announcement. The Universal Champion made his way to the ring to make a public health announcement. Roman Reigns informed the fans that he is once again battling Leukemia. Back in 2008, Reigns was diagnosed with the disease. He went into remission quickly but is now fighting the battle again.

Unfortunately, he also had to announce to fans that he was no longer able to be a fighting champion and had to relinquish the Universal Championship.

Roman Reigns (Leati Joesph Anoa'i) comes from a long line of wrestlers. His cousins include wrestling superstars such as Yokozuna, Rikishi, Umaga, The Tonga Kid, and he is more distantly related to The Usos and none other than The Rock.

During the announcement, Reigns stated that he will be the disease and return to the ring as soon as possible.
