Promotional tie-ins are a normal part of franchise movie marketing, but you usually expect stuff like McDonald's Happy Meal toys or collectible Slurpee cups or whatever. But something like a major realtor corporation? That's...kind of unusual. And ads for Coldwell Banker are probably the last place you'd expect to see new footage for X-Men: Apocalypse, but here we are.

20th Century Fox has teamed up with Coldwell Banker for a new series of ads which play on the company's concept of needing a nice place to come home to after a stressful day at work — in this case, a stressful day battling an ancient mutant played by Oscar Isaac. There's also a promo based on Coldwell Banker's "Home of the Week" ads, using the X-Mansion as the featured home. It's definitely one of the weirder movie tie-ins we've seen in recent years, but hey, there's quite a bit of new X-Men: Apocalypse footage.

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters on May 27.
