Slash Takes Home Riff Lord Award at 2012 Revolver Golden Gods
Ex-Guns N’ Roses rocker Duff McKagan hit the stage to present the Riff Lord honor — another new category at the 2012 Revolver Golden Gods — one “for six-string guitar shredders,” as McKagan put it. And he was able to present the trophy to his former GN’R bandmate Slash, who beat out a field that included Zakk Wylde from Black Label Society, Scott Ian from Anthrax, Munky from Korn, Dave Grohl from
Jack White on White Stripes Reunion Prospects: There’s ‘Absolutely No Chance’
While in London on Tuesday (March 20) to promote his solo debut, ‘Blunderbuss,’ Jack White confirmed that he hasn’t put everything else on the shelf in order to strike out on his own. “I’m still in a couple of bands, so I’m not missing anything by doing this,” said White, presumably referring to the Raconteurs and the Dead Weather.
