Former ABC-12 Flint Meteorologist Lands New Job In Detroit
Former ABC-12 Flint meteorologist Christina Burkhart has announced a new job in Detroit.
Burkhart said goodbye to WJRT-TV viewers in October 2024 and recently shared news of her new job on social media.
I’m thrilled to share I’m joining the team at WDIV as the newest meteorologist! I’m excited to be home in Southeast Michigan!
ClickOnDetroit has already added the Michigan-born meteorologist to its website. Her station bio notes that, as a college student, she interned at WDIV alongside Paul Gross and Chuck Gaidica. Talk about coming full circle.
The announcement has been met with an outpouring of well-deserved congratulations, with many people sharing their support and excitement for her next chapter. You can see her full post below.
Congrats to Christina Burkhart on her new position. Like many others, I am looking forward to seeing her back on television.

Another ABC 12 anchor who said goodbye this year was Matt Franklin. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find any information about what he’s doing now, but we certainly wish him all the best in whatever comes next.
