Filter Postpone 20th Anniversary Tour for ‘Title of Record’
Filter have postponed a planned 20th anniversary tour in celebration of their successful 1999 album Title of Record due to scheduling conflicts concerning deadlines facing frontman Richard Patrick. See Filter's statement about the postponement down toward the bottom of this post.
The concert update comes after a deluxe edition reissue of Tile of Record was released Aug. 9. Making the outfit's sophomore effort available on vinyl for the first time, the reissue expands the original album with four bonus tracks. The previous month, a planned reunion among Patrick and his original Filter Short Bus cohort Brian Liesegang was jettisoned in favor of the Title of Record anniversary commemoration. Around the same time, Patrick reported a new Filter album titled They Got Us Right Where They Want Us, at Each Other's Throats was due imminently.
"Due to scheduling conflicts and deadlines for Richard Patrick's work in film scoring, the Filter dates announced previously will be postponed to an undetermined later date," the band's Facebook message from Monday (Oct. 14) reads. "Refunds will be given at point of purchase."
The trek was initially set to kick off this Saturday (Oct. 19) in Las Vegas and cover much of the U.S. over the ensuing five weeks. Although the vast majority of dates have been scrubbed from Filter's website, the "Title of Record 20th Anniversary Tour" gig for Nov. 27 in Los Angeles is still listed.
Additionally, Filter appearances scheduled for Oct. 25 (Freakers' Ball 2019 at Dallas' Dos Equis Pavilion) and Oct. 26 (Oklahoma City's Kattfest) still show as viable concert options on the band's Internet outposts.
