The Michigan State Police released their annual school bus safety results, and you'll want to see how your school stacked up.

The school districts buses received one of three grades.

  • Passing: The bus is safe and up to required standards
  • Yellow: The bus was unsatisfactory, but safe for use. The problems are required to be fixed within 60 days.
  • Red: The bus is not safe, and must be fixed before being used again.

Flint had a very good review with 58 buses passing, 1 yellow, and only 1 red.

Saginaw schools had a rough review with 35 buses passing, 4 yellow, and 11 red.

The Genesee ISD is one of the biggest busing districts in our area, but they had a mixed review. 122 buses passed, 6 were yellow, but 24 of the buses were marked red.
