Ghost delivered a perfectly pious performance of their IMPERA track "Call Me Little Sunshine" Wednesday (March 16) on TV's Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Issued as a single in January, "Sunshine" followed Ghost's 2021 song "Hunter's Moon." That tune's also on IMPERA, the theatrical Swedish rock band's fifth album that emerged on March 11. The effort's latest single, "Twenties," arrived a week before the LP.

The sinuous song encapsulates the group's kitschy but ominous approach. Ghost leader Tobias Forge — in character as Papa Emeritus IV — sings, "Call out in the middle of the night / For when else would I hear you? / Fall out in the cold starlight / I can save you if you do / You will never walk alone."

Earlier this month, Ghost completed a U.S. tour with co-headliners Volbeat and supporting act Twin Temple. The band will head to Europe with Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats in April. A week ago, Ghost revealed their "Papa 4" NASCAR. Before that, Forge said that he felt that Russia's current attack on Ukraine would ruin the invading country. In February, Ghost shared a funny Valentine's Day video that copied a scene from the 1990 movie Ghost.
