Prehistoric Forest was added to the Irish Hills amusements in 1963. Over the decades it thrilled young and old alike, with their fiberglass replicas of dinosaurs, cavemen, monsters, and other 'prehistoric' displays.

A mini-train would take you thru the forest where the creatures lurked, and kids were given toy guns so they could shoot at 'em.

I have seen photo after photo, video after video of Prehistoric Forest, taken by trespassers and those who actually got special permission to enter...but these images are somewhat different, clear, with images I haven't seen in other videos.

The park lasted approximately 37 years until it closed for good around 1999.
