$500 Brain Test Offered Free in Flint This Weekend
Most Michiganders know somebody in their family or within their circle of friends who suffers from Alzheimer's Disease or Dementia. It can be so tough to watch someone you've known for years be sharp as a tack one minute, and then have no idea where they are or who you are.
Why Early Detection Matters
It's heartbreaking to watch either—or worse, both—of these diseases take their toll on our loved ones. But technology has advanced significantly in early detection, but the trick is you have to be checked early enough for modern treatment to be as effective as possible.
For adult Mid-Michiganders that are interested in early prevention, Insight Flint at 4800 S. Saginaw Street is offering a free event to help assess your cognitive health.
Event Details and Location
Capturing Memories: The Free Brain Health Event is happening this Saturday in Flint, which provides members of the community with a free cognitive screening and blood biomarker testing. That's normally a procedure that costs about $500, but you can have it done at no cost by registering at MyBrainDay.com or by clicking here.
In addition to the screening and testing, you will also receive a Brain Health Action Plan and a follow-up telehealth consult with a board-certified neurologist when needed. Free food and giveaways will also be available during the event which runs from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Insight Flint on Saginaw Street in Flint.
Again, the event is free to the public, but for screening and testing you are asked to register in advance at MyBrainDay.com.
