Cops in Utica put the kibosh on a massive teen party at a home that was rented from a short-term rental company last month. The 19-year-old who rented the house advertised the bash on social media.

Party Quickly Gets Out of Control

Police were called to the Macomb County home on Friday, December 30 of last year after neighbors complained that a house party was getting out of control.

According to Detroit's WDIV-TV, the identity of the 19-year-old man who rented the property and issued the open invitation has not yet been revealed.

Police Have Limited Power to Break Up the Bash

Officers arrived on the scene and found several teens outside the home drinking and smoking pot. However, they were initially not allowed to enter the home. In the video below, you'll hear an officer threatening to tow cars.

“I’m gonna start towing every car down this street that doesn’t belong to one of our residents unless the owner, or the person who rented this (house), comes outside right now," the officer says.

Owner Allows Police to Enter

Eventually, Andy Jaracz who owns the home arrived. He determined that the 19-year-old who had rented the house had broken the rental contract and then allowed police to legally enter the home.

Many of the partygoers who were underage teens were able to flee the party but officers arrested the man who rented the house and threw the party.

Many of his charges relate to contributing to the delinquency of minors.
