Those include wage increases of up to 8.6%, with an average bump of 5.3% in the first year. The hospital says the new pay scale will align Genesys nurses with other Henry Ford sites, and that 60% of them will make more than $100,000 a year before overtime.
Nurses Say Move Shows “Bad Faith”
Teamsters President Dan Glass says the move shows bad faith.
Henry Ford Health is doubling down on their anti-union stance instead of working toward a fair agreement.
Glass added that management 'forced nurses onto the picket line' by refusing to address issues like staffing ratios and premium pay.

Hospital leaders counter that they’ve met with the union more than 60 times since spring, only to face 'no meaningful movement' on key issues. They insist their new plan maintains safe nurse-to-patient ratios and even gives nurses a greater voice in policy decisions.
Genesys Remains Open as Strike Continues
Despite the impasse, Genesys remains open, and both sides say they’re still willing to talk. But after months of tense standoffs, it’s clear that healing this labor rift will take more than a pay raise.
